- Description:
- This film looks at the creation and activities of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America, founded in December 1914 in NYC. By 1964, the Union had nearly 400,00 workers throughout most of the United States, Puerto Rico, and part of Canada. Although focusing on the ACW, this film ventures to tell the story of the working people of America. It tells the story of immigrants coming to the United States, individuals entering the workforce, as well as those who fought for better working conditions for themselves and others.
