- Description:
- Edwina Gilbert was Eastern's Vice President of In-Flight Services since 1971. She came to Eastern as a flight attendant in 1956 and rose to management of the Flight Attendant Training Center by 1960. Her involvement with nearly 10,000 flight attendants as well as relations with food service providers positioned Mrs. Gilbert in a unique vantage point during the bargaining history and sale of Eastern Air Lines. Her interview offers the perspective from the flight attendants concerns.
