- Hawaiian steel guitar player James B. ""Kimo"" Kalohi plays his instrument with an amplifier at his feet. An excerpt from an attached article reads: He began his career as a musician in Philadelphia and toured the vaudeville circuits for several years before coming to Atlanta in the early 1920s. He began his 18-year career with WSB when the only radio receivers were crystal sets. During World War II, he entertained servicemen stationed throughout the South.
