- Attached caption reads: Georgia's Governor Ernest Vandiver (R.) appoints WSB Radio ""Music Man"" Jerry Vandeventer his special emissary to Hawaii. In the governor's office in the state capitol, Mr. Vandiver gives Jerry a letter of invitation for the Governor of Hawaii. The letter invites the Hawaiian chief of state to be guest of Georgia at Atlanta's Southeastern Fair early in October. The fair will feature a ""Welcome Hawaii"" theme. Jerry took Governor Vandiver's letter with him when he departed Sunday, August 16, as host to the WSB Radio promotion ""Music Man Hawaiian"" tour of Hawaii.
