Mr. Smith said that although the former cars had a 'bird' on them, the bird wasn't very realistic looking, so in December 1987 he decided to design a more realistic looking Falcon." Caption: "An investigation into whether Rankin Smith Jr. sent money to a fugitive has been closed by the Gwinnett sheriff's department."
