- Newspaper assignment sheet attached to print verso identifies photographer (Renee Hannans): "Daniel Weathersbee (front) and Russell Sorrows (back) are giving out papers for the white knights of the KKK in Acworth on Main and Lemon area. Russell is a Kleagl [i.e. Kleagle] and Daniel is a klansman." Newspaper caption attached to print verso: "News from the Klan. Daniel Weathersbee (front) and Russell Sorrows hand out newspapers for the Southern White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan in downtown Acworth Saturday. Weathersbee is a klansman, and Sorrows a kleagle, in the organization. A small group of members distributed leaflets and other printed materials to passers-by at the busy intersection of North Main and Lemon streets. No incidents were reported during the leafleting. In December 1988, Acworth police arrested then-KKK Grand Dragon David Lee Craig for blocking traffic during a similar action taken by the group." Caption date-stamped: Thu Dec 07 1989 C E. The leaflets are titled "The Truth at Last," and the headlines are "America's Most Dangerous Cities," and "Looting Follows Disasters."
