- Newspaper caption attached to print verso: "Louisville, Ga., first permanent capital of the state: Jefferson County Courthouse At Louisville, Ga. Louisville was the fourth capital of Georgia, and the first permanent legislative site. The capitol was moved there in 1794 and remained until 1807, when it was transferred to Milledgeville." Photographer: Winn. Photo stamped on verso: September 1 1940 and November 14 1943. The courthouse was competed in 1904.
