- The Georgia Institute of Technology Yellow Jackets and the University of Georgia Bulldogs freshman football squads (later known as junior varsity) played a Thanksgiving Day game annually, 1933-93. Held on Grant Field at Georgia Tech, the games' proceeds benefited the Scottish Rite Hospital in Atlanta. Caption: "This backfield quartet of Bullpups will open against Baby Jackets Thanksgiving (L-R) Right half PatHunnicutt, QB Pete Dickens, Fullback Frank Lankewicz, Left half Joe Burson. November 10, 1061"
