- Annually between 1933 and 1993, the freshman squads (later known as junior varsity) of the Georgia Institute of Technology Yellow Jackets and the University of Georgia Bulldogs played a Thanksgiving Day football game. Held on Grant Field at Georgia Tech, the games' proceeds benefited the Scottish Rite Hospital in Atlanta. Caption: "Are these Baby Jackets ready for Thursdays big game? Ask them!
