- Newspaper caption attached to print verso: "General Oglethrope is buried in a vault at Cranham Church, Upminister, and on the right hand side of the Chancel is a plaque commemorating him as the founder of the state of Georgia, U.S.A. Every year a wreath is placed over the vault in remembrance of him, and this year, on July 18th , the Bishop of Georgia will unveil a plaque over the vault to commemorate him, and in attendence to the ceremony will be officials of the United States Embassy. The director in charge is the Rev. H. W. Sparing. All Saints Church, Cranham, near Upminister. Showing "Cranham Hall", where General Oglethorpe lived for the latter part of his life." The original Cranham Hall burned shortly after Oglethorpe's death. The present building was constructed on the site in the 1800s. Georgia Governor Zell Miller visited the church in 1996.
