- Description:
- News paper caption on print verso: "Historic house for sale: Bulloch Hall, the historic house in Roswell operated as a house museum until last October, is up for sale by its owner, Richard S. Myrick. He closed the museum in October because it had not paid its way. Myrick, who bought the house in 1971 and renovated it, said Bulloch Hall is offered for sale 'to any and all interested buyers' since his personal effort to move it into ownership of historic preservation organizations was fruitless. The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation took an option on the house in March but let that option lapse Thursday, saying it had not found money to make the purchase, Myrick said. Bulloch Hall was built in 1840 in Greek Revival style by the father of Mittie Buloch, who married a Roosevelt and bore Theodore Roosevelt, the nation's 26th president."
