- Newspaper caption attached to print verso:"Young riveter shown at work in the Bell Bomber plant in 1945, helping make B-29's for use in World War 2." Newspaper caption attached to print verso:"Rivet Racket: Marian raises a ruckus with her air-driven rivet gun, contributing staccato notes to the raucous factory concert. Shield furnished by the company protects her eyes. Although she is in the wing department, she's often farmed out to fuselage assembly, as here. Typical of thousands of Bell employees, Marian had never worked outside her home until she took a war job 'because I wanted to help.' She plans to be a full-time homemaker again when the war ends." Photo stamped on on verso: February 4 1951.
