- Photographic print of eight recruits climbing ladder and two sliding down lifeline. Ladder is extended from Atlanta Fire Department (A.F.D.) engine number 4. Newspaper caption attached to verso of the print: "Recruits Play Dipsy Doodle. New men get used to dizzy heights by racing up an aerial ladder to the top of Atlanta's 7-story fire tower, and sliding down the lifeline at left. All recruits take a thorough course in fire fighting, and every member of the department is given a review course twice a year." Verso of print stamped: "Dec 8 1940."
