- Description:
- Negative envelope: "Atlanta Skyline & Expressways at Night, Oct. 1964, J.C. Lee." Courtland Street is in the middle of the photo, intersecting Ellis Street on the left and Andrew Young International Boulevard on the right. Note the unrecognizable Southern Bell Telephone and Telegraph Company building on the left, now known as the AT&T Communications building, which was undergoing major construction, expanding its levels for a third time. The large plot of land near the bottom of the photo is the future site of the Marriott Motor Hotel, now known as the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel, which began construction the following year in 1965.
