- Photographic print of a mechanic inspecting the engine of a Douglas O-46 observation plane. Newspaper clipping attached to the verso of the print: "Inspecting New Observation Plane. Mechanic tuning up the motor of the latest type plane assigned to Flight B, 16th observation squadron, at Lawson Field, Fort Benning." The airplane the mechanic is examining is marked "U.S. Army - O-46A A.C. 33-102." The airplane is a United States Douglas O-46A, built for the Army Air Corps between 1936 and 1937; it was declared obsolete in 1939.
