Newspaper caption: "Parents picket Thursday outside Lake City Middle School in Lake City, Tenn., to protest the attendance of a 12-year-old boy who carries the AIDS virus. About 50 parents and students took part in protests which prompted the boy's parents to withdraw him from the school." Date-stamped Fri Sep 11 1987 C." Protesters carry signs that read "Children are God's special gifts. Don't destroy them with AIDS," "We don't want our children to be the next AIDS victims," and "We want a homebound teacher for our children."
