- Description:
- "The Curtis Kingbird was used by Easter Air Transport (now named Eastern Airlines) for passenger flights from Candler Field in the early 1930's. It had 2 Wright Whirlwind radial engines developing 300 hp each, which enabled the plane to cruise at 115 mph with a full passenger load of seven. It was a high wing monoplane giving passengers good visibility below. Windows could be opened for fresh air or a better look at the local sites such as Stone Mountain."
