- Newspaper assignment sheet attached to print verso identifies photographer Mark Karell: "Members of the Apollo Atlanta audience show their appreciation for the performers who have gathered on stage at the end of the evening. The audience will often loudly boo an act that they feel should not have gotten on stage." Newspaper caption: "An Apollo Atlanta audience shows its appreciation for an act. Some performers such as ballad singer Felix Knox, get a different reaction. He was booed after his rendition of 'The Greatest Love of All.' He laments, 'I've sung at the Parrot downtown and gotten a standing ovation.'" Date-stamped "Thu Aug 16 1990 J C."
