- New Shopping Center for Atlanta Military. This military shopping center was opened last week at Fort Gillem in Clayton County. The $4.3 million center, which includes a post exchange, 87,925 square foot commisionary, and a variety of shops and services, is twice as large as the facilities at nearby Fort McPherson that it replaced. The center will serve 72,000 members of the military community in Atlanta and North Georgia.
