- Newspaper caption attached to print verso identifies photographer Billy Downs: "Unidentified man comforts Mrs. Schlatt as her mother, Mary Jane Sickels, clasps the hand of little Jodie Schlatt." Caption date-stamped "May 17 1978 Journal." Another copy of the print has newspaper caption attached: "'A deep sense of loss': Officer Robert Schlatt's family at honor ceremony." Date-stamped "May 17 1978." The funeral was in Forest Park. Frank Robert Schlatt was killed on May 13, 1978.
