- Newspaper caption attached to print verso: "A Widow's Tear. A tear runs down the face of Sheila Richardson, widow of Sgt. Jimmy Richardson, at the funeral Thursday for the 10-year Atlanta Police Bureau veteran. Richardson, 34, was president of the Afro-American Patrolmen's League. He was slain Saturday as he attempted to apprehend two men in a stolen car. Two suspects have been charged in his slaying. Nearly 500 persons, including Mayor Maynard Jackson, attended the services.
