- Newspaper assignment sheet attached to print verso identifies photographer Walter Stricklin: "Looking for autumn color in the mountains, Reporter John Harmon is writing a story about out-the way-places leaf lookers can go, but per discussion with Rich Addicks, we're looking for striking images regardless of locale as long as it's colorful. Will be doing aerials, but check with pilot to see if there's any landing places for ground shots too. Newspaper caption: A tree shimmers with color on a farm near Clayton was an extraordinarily beautiful fall comes to the north Georgia mountains, always spectacular at this time of year."
