- Newspaper caption attached to print verso identifies photographer (Dwight Ross, Jr.): "Lights Go On. Atlanta's Christmas season is now official. The lighting of the giant tree at Rich's, an annual event, was witnessed by a crowd of more than 100,000. A 500-voice choir sang carols prior to the lighting of the 70-foot Yuletide symbol. This is the 22nd consecutive year the ceremony has been held." Newspaper caption is date-stamped Nov. 28, 1969.
