- Printed on assignment sheet: "Bill O'Dell (center), President of Wellington Puritan Industries, and Roy Bowen (right), Executive Vice President of the Georgia Textile Manufacturers Association, along with employees of Wellington Textile Mills in Greensboro, Georgia, showed a sample of the ore than 10,000 miles of cord they manufactured on just a few days notice to be used to 'tie' together the 'Hands Across America' event.
