- Newspaper caption attached to print verso: "'Aroused citizens' deplore gubernatorial tangle. Barnesville, Ga., Jan. 18.--Meeting in the century-old colonial home of Mayor Harvey J. Kennedy here Friday night, Lamar County citizens, aroused over the use of 'force and violence' in the State Capitol, listen to Dr. John Corry, acting presiding officer. Dr. Corry was elected chairman of the group who organized themselves under the name of 'Aroused Citizens of Georgia, Lamar Chapter.' The group has called for a mass meeting at 8 p.m. Monday at the Lamar courthouse. They demand that the gubernatorial question be settled by the courts.
