- Newspaper assignment sheet attached to print verso identifies photographer (Michael A. Schwarz): "...go to several projects and interview residents about the special police detail ...Lorae [sic] Porter walking her pre-school class through Thomasville Heights. Before the police presence there, it was something she was afraid to do." Newspaper caption: "Larae Porter and her preschool class venture out on safer streets in Thomasville Heights on a sunny Tuesday. Police patrols in housing projects have forced drug dealers out; some residents fear they will return when the patrols end." Caption date-stamped "Wed Jan17 1990 C." Thomasville Heights housing was built in 1967, and demolished in 2010.
