- Clippings sent to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution by Shelby F. Lowe (Atlanta, Gerogia) in 1961. Two of the clippings are dated ("October 15, 1888" and "September 29, 1887"). The clippings trace J.C. Stokely's movements for a few years. Three newspapers are identified ("Kennesaw Gazette," "The Democrat," and "Hampton Hustler").
