- Description:
- Newspaper assignment sheet attached to print verso identified photographer (David Tulis): "329 Northside Drive, S.W., Apt. 317. John Hope Homes. This apartment will be boarded up. We will meet former tenant there. ... Ten public housing tenants with serious medical problems who have been threatened by neighbors and fear for their lives were forced to sue the Atlanta Housing Authority to make them adhere to their own regulations and transfer them to other apartments. A judge has ordered AHA to move these tenants within 60 days because conditions were so bad.... Sylvia Peterson looks over her apartment at Techwood Homes as she describes the bad living conditions she endures with her family. Bugs crawl over her kids as they sleep and trash swirls outside her hallway door."
