- Printed on back: "Atlanta Public Library" Caption: "Down Comes the Old: Scaffolding has been erected around the Atlanta Central Library on Carnegie Street and beginning today workers will start dismantling the marble facade by hand while the wrecking ball starts on the garage behind the building. The facade will be stored at the city's key road prison farm until the city decides what to do with it, according to chief administrative officer George Berry. After the facade is removed, the rest of the structure will be demolished with a wrecking ball. During demolition and construction, which is due to begin by October and last about three years, the central library facilities are operating out of the 10 Pryor Street building near Central City Park. May 16, 1977 Journal."
