A man dressed up as General James Oglethorpe gives a lesson on Savannah's history. He talks extensively about the design, construction, and decoration of Savannah's city hall building. He then talks about the Savannah city council and the kind of decisions they make in city council meetings. Savannah Clerk of Council Dyanne Reese introduces each member of the city council: District One Alderman David Jones, District Two Alderman Gwendolyn Goodman, District Three Alderman Ellis Cook, District Four Alderman Courtney Flexon, District Five Alderman Clifton Jones, District Six Alderman Tony Thomas, Alderman at Large Edna Jackson, Alderman at Large Pete Liakakis, and Mayor Floyd Adams, Jr. Reese also introduces other officials present in city council meetings: City Attorney James Blackburn, herself the Clerk of Council, and City Manager Michael Brown. The man dressed as Oglethorpe then discusses all of the services that are provided by city employees. Some city employees describe their jobs, including Capt. Larry Branson from the Savannah PD, Director of Community Development Taffanye Young, Ronald Bryant from the Sanitation Department, and Public Information Director Cathy Cooper Long. A short quiz then follows with questions on information discussed in the video and general questions on city government and services. Mayor Floyd Adams thanks viewers for watching the video and invites viewers to visit city operated venues like civic centers, parks, and athletic complexes.
