Warlick, who served as head of Armstrong University's department of history, and as Assistant Dean of the university's College of Arts and Sciences. A street in the Windsor Forest neighborhood was dedicated and named in Warlick's honor. Armstrong University staff, city officials, and friends and family members came to pay tribute to Dr. Warlick. Speakers include Alderman Tony Thomas, Dr. Tom Jones, president of Armstrong Atlantic State University, Jackie Haverman, President of the Windsor Forest Neighborhood Association, Dr. Bob Strozier, an academic associate of Dr. Warlick, Alderman Pete Liakakis, Mayor Pro Tempore Ellis Cook, and Dr. Warlick's wife Lorraine Warlick. Segment two: Arbor Day celebrations, 20:12-21:18. Savannah's Park and Tree Department and several hundred Savannah school children celebrated Arbor Day 2002 by planting trees around the city. Each year, the Arbor Day Foundation provides over 8 million trees for planting around America, and in Savannah one thousand tree seedlings were given out to school children to plant. Park and Tree Department Director Barry Smith talks about Savannah's long reign of seventeen years as Tree City U.S.A. and what that means for the city, as well as the need to maintain tree planting campaigns. Segment three: Centennial celebration for Savannah's Coca-Cola plant, 21:18-27:31. The Savannah City Council and Coca-Cola executives gather to celebrate one hundred years of Coca-Cola operations in Savannah. A Coke executive talks about Coca-Cola's history in Savannah as well their community involvement and centennial celebration plans. He and Marketing Director Andy McCumber present the city council with a pack of commemorative centennial Savannah Coca-Cola bottles. Mayor Floyd Adams. Jr. talks about the good that Coca-Cola has done in the Savannah community and congratulates them on one hundred years in Savannah. Segment four: Jasper Monument cleaning, 27:31-33:23. Family members and volunteers from the Dan Sheehan contracting company join forces with the city of Savannah to help maintain the city's outdoor art and architecture. Civic Magazine covers their cleaning of the William Jasper Monument in Madison Square. Over the years, the effects of acid rain, mildew, and other biological contaminants had accumulated on the monument, obscuring its original form, but the powerful cleaning tools of the Sheehan Company were able to restore it. Mary Katherine Sheehan of the Sheehan Company speaks about the fulfillment of serving the community and a city official discusses Savannah's monument maintenance program.
