It is the second largest cotton port and the largest naval store port in the world. Much taste and wealth have been displayed in the public and private buildings. Wright Square is a fine example of the city beautiful. This colorized postcard depicts the Gordon Monument in Wright Square with buildings in the background and pedestrians in the foreground.
