- Nathaniel [sic] Greene Monument and Germania Bank Building, Savannah, Ga.Annotated on back: Savannah is rich in historical lore, is a city of 92,000 people and is known for its beautiful buildings, semi-tropical verdure, 24 municipal parks and 100 mile boulevard chain, nine suburban resorts, golf and outdoor sports, modern hotels and varied amusements. The climate is ideal, the city is both winter and summer resort and the Atlantic Ocean contributes surf bathing unexcelled in the South. It is indeed, 'Savannah, the Southern Key to Land and Sea.' This colorized postcard, postmarked June 20, 1917, depicts the Nathanael Greene Monument in Johnson Square at night.
