For many years the Jills have come

To get an education;
But now the welcome mat is spread,

And in this situation
Have come the Jacks who've made their place

Among the working Jills;
And now the two can work and play
Atop the L.C. "Hill."

JUNIOR-FRESHMAN WEDDING

THE L. C. STUDENT'S CREED

Life is mine to live. That I may cherish it
And right royally meet its responsibilities,
I would lay aside that which is
Narrow, selfish, ignoble, and unkind;
The false, superficial, the dishonest
I would shun in thought, word, and deed.
Rather may I cultivate in my college life
Those traits and ideals that will fit me
To weave dreams into realities, and impressions into
character,

To meet bravely the hard tasks of life,

To bring joy to those who falter in their tasks.

I would strive to judge more kindly,

Trust more fully, and love more deeply,

That my life may reflect His goodness,

And my soul may grow in the knowledge

Of Him, whom to know is life eternal.

We've written poems and scribbled notes

And thrown them all away.
We've strived to give you what is tops

In pictures, words, and snaps;
We're sure we've given our best

To both the girls and chaps.
It isn't such an easy job,

But still we've really tried;
