- Description:
- A picture of the pumping station on the Augusta Canal. Originally built in 1899 and upgraded several times since, this station provides water to a large portion of Augusta. It uses an ingenious system that uses the hydropower of the canal to pump the water to the water treatment and reservoir system on Highland Avenue. It is a unique system that saves a large amount of expenditures on energy. The timeframe on this image is hard to determine.
