George Herman "Babe" Ruth Jr., was a professional baseball player. He was a pitcher for the Boston Red Sox, and later an outfielder for the New York Yankees. He also played briefly with the Boston Braves in 1935. Ruth was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936. - Local Identifier:
