Asa Griggs Candler (1851-1929) was an Atlanta businessman, investor, politician, and philanthropist. He was the owner of the Coca-Cola Company and founded the Central Bank and Trust Company. He was a benefactor to the Methodist Church and Emory University, and served as mayor of Atlanta from 1916-1919. - Local Identifier:
