- In this interview, George Goodwin recalls his service in the United States Navy in the Pacific during World War II. He remembers writing feature stories for a Miami newspaper when the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor occurred. He describes his first assignment, in the Aleutian Islands, and then being sent to the Pacific where he was involved in interrogating Japanese prisoners.
