- In this interview, Jeff Cleghorn shares his experiences serving in the United States Army and the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network (SLDN). He speaks about his childhood in Georgia, his family's military history, and joining the Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC). He recalls training as an Airborne paratrooper, and serving as an Army intelligence officer on the North and South Korean border, and in Germany during the Cold War. He describes how he felt about being gay in the military
his work with the SLDN to repeal the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy
and his family's reaction to him coming out. He discusses aspects of his life after the military including his work with Georgia Equality
