- In this interview, General Richard J. Allen describes his experiences as a member of the 101st Airborne during World War II, including his training, his parachute jump into Normandy, the Battle of Bastogne and a second jump into Holland for Operation Market Garden. He explains security measures such as the "cricket" and specific passwords and recounts the story of the "Incredible Patrol" famed for their capture of thirty-two German soldiers. He also recalls working with the British XXX Corps.
