- In this interview, Dan Bennett recalls his experiences serving in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He describes his upbringing and his parents' reaction to his enlistment. He recalls his training and his duties maintaining AC-47 gunships and later flying with the crews of C-119 aircraft as a flight engineer. He comments on the political differences in conducting the war between his first tour in 1967 and his second in 1971. He describes an incident that occurred in the airport on his return to the United States when he was physically accosted by an individual in the airport because of his service in Vietnam.
Dan Bennett served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
