- In this interview, John "Jack" Talbot Allan recounts his experiences as a bomber pilot in North Africa and Italy during World War II. He also describes his early years, in which he lost his mother five days after his birth to the influenza epidemic in 1919. His details life in North Africa, including trading with locals, encountering a Siebel Ferry and being shot down. He also discusses his post-war life including time in the Air Force Reserves at Dobbins Air Base and consulting with Georgia Governor Ernest Vandiver in building commercial airports around the state.
Jack Allan was a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Forces in Africa during World War II.
