- In this interview Harry Maclin describes his career in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He describes his childhood and early college years. He recalls his enlistment in the Navy and how he made that choice. He details his boot camp, including a case of mumps that he feels determined the path his life would take. He relates experiences as a hospital corpsman aboard an aircraft carrier and his conversion to Christianity. He recalls the end of the war, and the trip home as his ship ferried sailors home. He recounts his career in the ministry after the war, including living in several African nations.
