- In this interview, Ken Griffiths describes his experiences as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer during the Vietnam War. He recalls his education and his decision to volunteer to serve in Vietnam. His trip to Vietnam included Tampa, Florida, Travis AFB (Calif.), Clark AFB in the Philippines, and Bien Hoa Airbase in Vietnam. He comments on the familiarity of the red clay and palm trees there. He received a three-day orientation and worked as a foreign claims officer. He recalls living conditions there and remarks on the media reporting of the war. He relates his post-war career, working at the Pentagon, Bailey's Crossroads (Va.), and remaining in the reserves.
