George Harsh, a student at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia and resident of Milwaukee, Wisconsin was charged, along with Atlanta resident and fellow Oglethorpe student George Gallogly, of the murder of Willard Smith and E. L. Meek, two grocery store clerks in Atlanta. Harsh was declared guilty and sentenced to death by the electric chair, while Gallogly was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison. - Local Identifier:
