The 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division received their initial training at Camp Toccoa in Georgia under the command of Colonel Robert F. Sink. The 506th participated in the Normandy Invasion, Operation Market Garden, and the Battle of the Bulge.
