- This recording opens with an introduction of the program by Boyd Lewis. The entire program is a rebroadcast of a 1981 "Southwind" feature about the Spoleto Festival in Charleston, South Carolina. The program features audio interview excerpts of Italian composer Gian Carolo Mennoti; Charleston Mayor Joseph P. Riley Jr.; Spoleto Festival co-founder Dr. Theodore Stern, and unidentified individuals. The program also includes another rebroadcast of a "Southwind" program about Charleston and tourism, and includes audio excerpts from local tour guide Wendell Weeks, and Dick Robinson of the Spoleto Festival. The program ends with a sign off by Boyd Lewis.
