- This recording opens with an introduction of the program by Boyd Lewis. The first segment, which begins at 1:31, is a feature about a cookbook created by Foxfire about Appalachian recipes. The program features audio excerpts from Eliot Wigginton, director of Foxfire; publisher E.P. Dutton, and two of the book's contributors, Daisy Justice, and Ruth Cabe. The second segment, which begins at 12:20, is a feature about Atlanta poet Alice Lovelace. The program features Lovelace reading her poetry, and an interview with her. She talks about African American poets, and the politics and social conditions she draws upon for inspiration. The program ends with a sign off by Boyd Lewis.
