- This recording opens with singer Johnny Cash's rendition of "Southwind" and an introduction of the program by Boyd Lewis. The first segement, which begins at 0:56, is a feature about evictions resulting from high demand in anticipation of the event. The program is produced by Chris Moser, and includes audio excerpts from tenants, landlords, realty companies, as well as Knoxville mayor Randy Tyree. The second segment, which begins at 9:55, is a feature about the culture, customs and traditions in the state of Texas according to writer Rosemary Kent. The third segment, which begins at 18:56, is a feature about a bloody shootout in Greensboro, North Carolina in 1979, involving the Ku Klux Klan and the resulting arrests and legal proceedings. The program includes audio excerpts from witness Winston Caven; Dale Sampson, wife of one of the shooting victims; Bob Hall, director of the Institute of Southern Studies; Gorrell Pierce, Grand Dragon of the Ku Klux Klan and Liz Wheaton of the Institute of Southern Studies. The program ends with a sign off by Boyd Lewis.
