- This recording opens with an introduction of the program by Boyd Lewis. The first segment, which begins at 1:23, is a segment the Planned Parenthood organization in Atlanta. The program features audio excerpts from Barbara Lebo, a playwright who created a musical celebrating the 20th anniversary of Planned Parenthood Atlanta that was shown at the Academy Theater in Atlanta in 1984. Other people featured in the segment are Kay Bard, Executive Director of Planned Parenthood Atlanta; Esther Taylor, founder of Planned Parenthood Atlanta; Dr. Robert Hatcher of Grady Hospital; Dr. Luella Klein of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and Dr. Edward Brandt, Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services. The program touches on the dangers of violence faced by Planned Parenthood chapters, citing the firebombing of a Planned Parenthood in Marietta, Georgia. The second segment, which begins at 14:21, is a feature about the hiring of math teachers from West Germany to address the shortage of such teachers in Georgia.
